'Peony' Hemp silk & lace wrap bridal dress

The 'Peony' dress

This long wrap dress is made in a beautiful ivory hemp/silk fabric with a delicate lace overlay on the bodice. The fronts wrap over, creating a V with scalloped lace edging. The ties wrap around the waist and can be tied either at the side or back in a bow. It has loose kimono style sleeves. The skirt of the dress has a  high-low front, cascading to a small train at the back and pockets in the side seam. It comes with a knee length slip dress to be worn underneath, also in the hemp/silk.

This dress is individually made to order in sizes XXS - XXL, please refer to size chart above. It can also be made to custom sizes/lengths.

Made from; hemp/silk 70% organic hemp, 30% silk. Lace; 82% organic cotton, 18% Nylon. Lined with organic cotton.

A bit about the fabrics... Hemp is often thought of as the most eco -friendly fabric there is. It needs no pesticides because it is unpalatable to insects, it needs no herbicides because it grows too quickly for any weed to compete. The hemp gives this fabric the weight and drape while the silk gives it shine and lustre. The hemp/silk is grown and produced in China. The beautiful lace fabric is produced in France.

This dress is made to order, designed, cut and stitched in England. Please allow 6-8 weeks for making your dress and depending on where you live 1 week for postage (1 - 2 days for UK).
